Dr. Herb Courtney
Dr. Courtney grew up in the Snohomish area and graduated from Snohomish High School. He received his undergraduate education from Washington State University and Pacific University. He earned his Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University School of Optometry. Dr. Courtney has been providing quality eye care in Monroe for over thirty years. His practice offers comprehensive vision exams including the diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of eye disease and injuries. He is a current member of the Optometric Physicians of Washington.
In his free time, Dr. Courtney enjoys hiking, trail running, fishing and also playing jazz trombone with local bands. He also enjoys spending time with his two children, three granddaughters and his large extended family.
Dr. Stan J. Sessions
Dr. Sessions performed his undergraduate studies at Ricks College and Brigham Young University. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry, graduating with honors in 1997. Thereafter, Dr. Sessions completed a one year residency in Seattle. His residency focused on the treatment of ocular disease and surgical co-management with full therapeutic privileges.
Following his residency, Dr. Sessions worked at TLC Northwest Laser Center in Lynnwood where he worked with patients having laser refractive surgery. There he provided pre-operative counseling, examinations and post-operative care.
Dr. Sessions joined Dr. Courtney at The Monroe Vision Clinic in 1999. He provides full-scope optometric care to patients of all ages. His practice includes ocular disease management, post-surgical care of cataract, corneal disease, glaucoma, vitreo-retinal disease and contact lenses.
He lives with his wife Amber and their 5 children in Snohomish. He enjoys traveling, boating and alpine skiing with his family, racquetball and golfing.
Dr. Rebecca Gianotti
Dr. Gianotti joined Monroe Vision Clinic in 2012. She graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry after completing clinical externships at a refractive surgery center in Denver, the Veteran’s Hospital in Walla Walla, and Fort Richardson Medical Clinic in Anchorage. Dr. Gianotti specializes in family vision care, contact lens evaluations, diabetic eye examinations, as well as cataract and refractive surgery co-management.
Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, Dr. Gianotti enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and their Jack Russell Terrier.
Dr. Daniel Truong
Dr. Daniel Truong is a proud native of Kirkland, Washington where he attended Lake Washington High School. He received his undergraduate and doctorate degrees from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. After graduating, Dr. Truong completed a residency in Primary Care at the Salt Lake City VA Hospital where he routinely managed patients with cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Additionally, during his residency, Dr. Truong spent time fitting specialty contact lenses at the renowned Moran Eye Center. He has fit contacts on patients with keratoconus, corneal grafts, severe dry eyes, and corneal irregularities.
Dr. Truong is a current member of the American Academy of Optometry and the American Optometric Association.
Besides spending time with his wife, Liane, Dr. Truong can usually be found riding his bike. After winning his first mountain bike race he entered while living in Utah, he has been hooked ever since.
